RealScan - 3D Room Design is an iPhone application developed by Elie Gebran. It offers the ability to scan an interior in seconds and obtain a 3D floor plan. With unlimited scan and save capabilities, users can easily generate 2D plans and make edits as needed. One of the standout features of RealScan is the ability to share the 3D floor plan in .usdz format, allowing anyone with an Apple device to preview it in 3D and augmented reality (AR) with just a click, eliminating the need to download the app.
The app also provides the option to test the 3D floor plans in the real interior using augmented reality. Users can create new objects within their floor plans and customize them by changing size, position, rotation, and color. RealScan comes preloaded with a wide range of objects that can be detected, including chairs, tables, beds, sofas, screens, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washers, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, fireplaces, walls, doors, windows, and storage.
Please note that in order to scan, a device with a Lidar sensor is required. Compatible devices include iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPad 2020 Pro (iPad Pro 12.9 inch 4th gen, iPad Pro 11 inch 2nd gen), and iPad Proinch. RealScan is a free app with optional in-app purchases available through Apple iTunes.
